Nepal’s victory in a friendly match between Mauritius and Nepal

Bimal Ghartimagar scored the decisive goal for Nepal.

Kathmandu, JAN. 29 : Nepal has won the first friendly match between Nepal and Mauritius. Nepal defeated Mauritius 1-0.

Bimal Ghartimagar scored the decisive goal for Nepal in the match played at Dasharath Stadium on Saturday. Bimal made good use of Anjan Bisht’s pass in the 55th minute of the match. Returning to the national team after 26 months, Vimal scored the decisive goal for Nepal.

This is Bimal’s ninth international goal for Nepal. Even though the first half ended in a goalless draw, Nepal took the lead in the second half. Nepal had a good chance to score two goals in the second half. Anjan Visht hit the pole with a superb strike from the box.

Similarly, Suman Lama’s shot hit the bar and came back. Mauritius also missed a golden opportunity to take the lead in the 35th minute. Adrian Francois’ shot from the box was thwarted by Nepal’s goalkeeper Kiran Kumar Limbu.

With this victory, Nepal has won a friendly game after eleven years. After defeating Bhutan in 2011, Nepal was unbeaten in an international friendly.

Now, the second friendly match between Nepal and Mauritius will be played on Tuesday.
